Inside your blood there is a substance called fibrin. Fibrin in the aesthetics world is the magic substance that releases growth factors. When Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) is properly injected into specific areas of the skin, it promotes your own new collagen growth, regenerates tissue, and naturally enhance the skin. We can use it on your face, neck, chest, hands and even scalp (to fight hair loss). New studies show that PRF can even soften sun damage and other aging skin issues.
PRF is a concentrated form of platelets and white blood cells obtained from a blood draw, and is used as an alternative to hyaluronic acid fillers. The platelets from your own blood are rich in growth factors. When we re-inject or topically apply it to your skin, these growth factors signal cell growth and collagen synthesis necessary for healing.
Your benefits of the PRF treatment are:
-Having noticeable improvement in the tone, texture, and overall quality of their skin.
-Reducing the appearance of crow’s feet and dark under eye circles and stimulates circulation around your eye to improve brightness and even skin tone
-Reducing appearance of nasolabial folds (smile lines), upper lip wrinkles, nose and forehead lines/wrinkles.
-Effectively treats acne and scars
-Hair loss: helps to stimulate the scalp improving hair vitality, color, brightness, while slowing hair loss and activates new growth
-Helps enhance results and speeds up healing time after a chemical peel
-Very safe alternative to dermal filler
The treatment begins with a draw of blood. The blood is then spun in a centrifuge, which separates out the PRF (platelet rich fibrin) and this is immediately injected in to the face or body.
The procedure is quick, relatively painless, and requires no post-procedure care or time off from daily events. Mild swelling, redness, or bruising fades within 1-3 days thanks to the quick healing due to even higher concentrations of healing platelets than PRP (platelet rich plasma).
PRF is performed in a series of 3 treatments, spaced 4 weeks apart. You can see the benefits and results of the PRF treatment after 6-8 weeks. Long-term effects, such as skin tightening, collagen production and enhanced skin quality, may take up to three months to be noticed and can last from 12 to 18 months.
Areas most popularly injected with PRF:
tear troughs (under eyes), fine lines around lips, nasal labial folds, and marionette lines, in addition to supporting hair restoration for both men and women.
Sessions are typically 45-60 minutes

Recommended add on: Red Light therapy for bruising and healing. Neocutis Aftercare, SPF and BioSerum Firm
Hair restoration is facilitated by PRP injections directly into the scalp to stimulate hair follicle growth and regeneration of tiny blood vessels to nourish the scalp. Hair PRP has been found to be an effective treatment for those experiencing hair thinning related to Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA), male-pattern baldness, female-pattern baldness, and traction alopecia.
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a non-surgical treatment to manage male and female pattern hair loss. The medical term for male-pattern and female-pattern hair loss is androgenic alopecia.
There is research demonstrating PRP can be effective for other hair loss conditions such as telogen effluvium, alopecia areata, CCCA, and traction alopecia. It can also be an option for patients who are either not ideal candidates for traditional hair loss treatments or are not interested in using prescribed medications.
Prior to your treatment, it is recommended you speak with your primary care provider to explore any underlying causes for hair loss such as thyroid abnormalities, vitamin deficiency, or medication side effects.
PRP stimulates hair growth by improving blood flow to the scalp and releasing a variety of growth factors that stimulate hair follicles to enter into their growth phase. There are research studies which show that PRP treatments can improve hair count, thickness, and density.
Most patients will require 3-6 treatments spaced an average of 4 weeks apart for optimal results.
